Jindřich Šimek
scriptwriter, director and producer
Jindřich Šimek commenced his professional artistic career in the ballet corps of the State Theatre in Ostrava, where as a soloist of the ballet, he performed a number of leading character parts.

Due to his all-round artistic talent, he also acted in theatre and operetta ensembles. During the 1970s, he founded the Pantomime Theatre in Ostrava, and toured many European countries with his comedy show.

Gradually, he worked his way up to choreography and direction of various theatre genres. He worked as choreographer and assistant director with a number of leading theatre directors in Czechoslovakian TV.

During the 1980s, he collaborated on scriptwriting and direction for large revues where he also performed as a mime artist, presented in Bulgaria, Germany, Belarus and France.

From the beginning of the 1990s, he has devoted himself primarily to musicals, such as: They're Playing Our Song in 1992, Aucassin and Nicoletta in 1993, Puppies in 1994, Nuns in 1997, Grease in 2000.

He is an author of a new type of stage performance – musical on ice. The worldwide originality rests in the concept of combining a theatre play on ice with singers, actors, dancers and figure skaters and presenting musical both on the stage and on ice at the same time.

As a screenwriter, director and producer, he realized two authorical projects of this kind – a fairy tale musical on ice Father Frost in 1998 and a romantic musical on ice Romeo & Juliet in 2003.

In October 2005, he produced and directed the first ever European tour of the famed American figure-skating show, Champions on Ice, composed exclusively of European, World and Olympic champions, and for which he wrote his own script entitled Planet of Champions, which elicited great media and audience interest in Czech cities (Prague, Brno, Zlín, Ostrava).

He collaborated with the Slovak JOJ TV station as a scriptwriter and artistic director. He and his team produced a series of fourteen live broadcasts of a family entertaining TV show The stars on ice, which was broadcasted from September to December 2006.

He and his team prepared a series of fourteen live broadcasts of the Dancing on Ice figure-skating TV show, which was broadcast during October to December 2006.

In 2007, he wrote the script for and directed the Magical Ice Carousel show, which was performed thirty times with great success at the largest and most luxurious shopping mall, the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, where it was seen by 50,000 audience members from around the world.

In 2008, he got an offer from Qatar to direct and realize Ice Gala show – Qtel – Gold Star.  The King of Qatar by himself with his family and guests from all over the world attended the opening ceremony.

In October 2011 in Prague, the unique performance premiered. It was his third musical on ice – a magical musical Cinderella on ice. This joint work of the authors Jindřich šimek (script and direction), Petr Malásek (music) and Václav Kopta (lyrics) became the best-selling project on the market. During its tour 2011-2012, encompassing 26 cities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, 480,000 enthusiastic audience members came to see the magical musical on ice – Cinderella.

He prepares scripts, including the direction and turnkey production of exclusive show projects and events on ice, but also multimedia shows, singers' concerts, the introduction of new products, national presentations of automobiles, gala evenings.



Radka Kovaříková

Radka Kovaříková was Czechoslovak and Czech national team skater for many years, the World champion in the category of pair skating (1995) and the World professional champion (1995 and 1197). Radka Kovaříková was the first one who performed Nastenka in a fairy tale musical on ice Father Frost and first one who performed Juliet in a romantic musical on ice Romeo and Juliet.
After a professional skating career she has worked on skating castings for movies, advertisements, skating shows and musicals on ice. She also creates choreographies and trains figure skating talents.
In the past, collaborated with world-renowned coaches and choreographers Irina Rodninovou, Sergei Ponomarenko, Marina Zujevovou, Christopher Deanem.V in 2005 significantly contributed in the organization of the first European tour U.S. figure skating show Champions on Ice.
