Pre-Christmas figure skating show touring Austrian towns and the cities of Vienna, Graz and Dornbin in December 2006. Organized by CKB events agency in co-operation with Intershow productions.
The show featured:
Radka Kovarikova – Rene Novotny - world champions in pairs (CZ)
Philippe Candeloro - olympic bronze medallist (FRA)
Margareta Drobiazko and Povilas Vanagas - European dance championship medalists (LIT)
Oxana Anitchkina - special act artist (Russia)
Viktor Pfeifer - Austrian champion
and many more top figure skaters and acrobats.
Dancing on Ice
A family television show broadcasted by JOJ, a Slovak TV, from September to December 2006. The show was produced under the license for Dancing on Ice, a British format, and featured fourteen dancing couples consisting of Slovak celebrities and professional figure skaters. The winner was selected by judges and sms votes of TV spectators.
This show was supervised by three-time world champions in pairs, Radka Kovarikova and Rene Novotny; the script and artistic direction of this series was written and conducted by Jindrich Simek.
Inteshow productions provided full service production including:
- skaters´casting
- choreography of over 100 programmes (solo number, group numbers)
- costume design and production
- coaches and choreographers of the performers
This entertaining television competition became the most watched show of the TV JOJ in 2006.
Champions on Ice
The beginnings of Champions on Ice, an American figure skating show established in 1969, were rather modest. However, the later developments of the show were influenced to a great extent by the Olympics in Lake Placid and Sarajevo as figure skating gained huge popularity in the USA following these games.
Champions on Ice has starred outstanding skaters such as Viktor Petrenko, Marina Klimova – Sergey Ponomarenko, Jayne Torvill – Christopher Dean, Michele Kwan, Elvis Stojko, Philippe Candeloro and Alexej Jagudin.
Europe's first ever tour of this show featured the script The Planet of the Champions written by Jindrich Simek, who also produced this show. The show starred:
